Unfiltered Records is a New York based independent record label that has specialized in alternative pop music since 2003. The label started as an outlet for musician/producer Andy Chase to release his own circle of projects including his critically acclaimed indie rock band Ivy. The label also released two albums by Chase’s other band Brookville, and Paco, the side project of Ivy’s singer Dominique Durand. Unfiltered Records quickly gained traction, carving a niche for itself in the world of “moody dream pop”. The Unfiltered artist roster also includes the debut album from The Postmarks (which spent 5 weeks in the CMJ Top 20) and Brooklyn via New Zealand’s The Grey Race. The label also issued releases by Ukrainian songstress Lana Mir, and North Carolina native Stroik. In 2009, Unfiltered Records signed a deal to join forces with Warner Music Group’s Independent Label Group, and that partnership produced a string of releases over the next few years. In 2012 Judd Apatow wrote Unfiltered Records into the storyline of his new movie “This Is 40”.
